PURPOSE:To lock easily and securely a rear cover to a camera body by engaging the 1st and the 2nd engagement members against a spring and further rotating an operation knob when the rear cover is closed. CONSTITUTION:When the rear cover 2 is closed gradually, a couple of lock pins 10 and 10' provided to the lock part 4 of the rear cover 2 abut on oblique sides 9a and 9'a of lock hooks 9 and 9' from a state (a) shown in a dashed line. When the rear cover 2 is further closed, the lock hooks 9 and 9' supported on a lock plate 8 are elevated temporarily against the spring forces of springs 13 and 13' because the lock plate 8 is guided only vertically by a couple of guide pins 16 and 16 and an operation pin 11. Then, the lock hooks 9 and 9' engage the lock pins 10 and 10' with the spring forces of the springs 13 and 13' when finishing passing by front ends of the oblique sides 9a and 9'a.
