PURPOSE:To prevent a remarkable fall of a surface temperature of a pressure welding roller, which is a large cause of a fixing failure, by heating by a heating means until the surface temperature of the pressure welding roller becomes the prescribed second set value, after the surface temperature of a thermal welding roller has become the prescribed first set value. CONSTITUTION:A thermal welding roller and a pressure welding roller are heated by heat from a heating element 2a and 2b, the temperature rises, the surface temperature of the thermal welding roller is detected by a thermistor 6a, and the surface temperature of the pressure welding roller is detected by a thermistor 6a. Each detected surface temperature is inputted to a CPU 1 by A/D converters 7a, 7b. The first and the second set values which have been stored in a memory 8 are compared with the surface temperature of the thermal welding roller, and the third set value is compared with the surface temperature of the pressure welding roller. Based on a result of comparison, off of the heating elements 2a, 2b, and a driving stop of a main motor 4 are executed. |
