PURPOSE:To use a video tex data and an EDP data in common by a semiduplex procedure line by providing a means discriminating a video tex/EDP data to a host device and a terminal device connected by the semi-duplex procesure via a line. CONSTITUTION:Formatting sections 4, 5 formatting respectively the EDP data and the video tex data sent from a communication line 3 to a communication managing section 2 of a host device 1 and a discriminating section 10 discriminating the EDP and the video tex data is provided to a terminal device 9 connected to the device 1 by using the semi-duplex procedure. The discriminating section 10 of the device 9 discriminates the data from the device 1 and displays the data on a display device 12 via video tex or EDP pattern memories 13, 14. When the device 9 uses the input data from the display device 12 to respond to the device 1, a data is sent from the device 1.
