The invention relates to a reinforcing mat for reinforced concrete, which mat comprises welded longitudinal and transverse wires with improved bonding. In order, in the case of said reinforcing mat, to improve the force transfer on laying mats with mutually overlapping mat borders and to permit a visual check of the overlapping width, the transverse-wire end parts (2), projecting beyond the border longitudinal wires (3, 4), in the mat plane are bent back in the direction of the border longitudinal wires (3, 4), and the longitudinal wires (3, 4, 5) are arranged, symmetrically to the longitudinal central axis of the mat, such that some are at a greater mutual distance and some at a smaller mutual distance, at least two border longitudinal wires (3, 4) being located at a smaller mutual distance on each mat border (Figure 1). The bent-back transverse-wire end parts (2) and the border longitudinal wires (3, 4) of two overlapping mats improve the force transfer with a predetermined overlapping width and provide overlapping formations dependent on the overlapping width.

|
