PURPOSE:To enable printing to be conducted simply with high reliability, response speed and printing speed, by a method wherein a magnetic ink is introduced into small-diameter pipes, energization of an electromagnet having a core corresponding to each of the pipes is controlled according to an image signal, and the ink in the pipes is attracted onto a recording paper by magnetic attracting forces of the cores, thereby recor CONSTITUTION:The tips of fibers 3 are brought into contact with or proximity to the recording paper 1, and both members are moved relatively to each other. The system is so designed that, at this time, the magnetic ink 7 is not ejected from the tip of the fiber 3 under a predetermined negative pressure. When a coil 6 is energized, the core 5 is magnetized to exert a magnetic attracting force on the ink 7 contained in the fiber 3, whereby the ink 7 is ejected from the tip of the fiber 3, and adheres to the paper 1, forming a dot. When the coil 6 is deenergized, the magnetic force of the core 5 is lost, and the ink 7 contained in the fiber 3 returns to its initial state. By varying the voltage impressed on the coil 6, it is possible to control the size of the dot recorded. |
