<p>A method for producing an external catheter for incontinence. The catheter has a hollow body section with an open end, and a second end which narrows into a discharge tube for the discharge of urine. The body section has an adhesive strip disposed on the inside of the body section and a covering layer disposed at a corresponding location on the outside of the body. Prior to use, the body section is rolled, and the adhesive layer contacts the cover layer, thus protecting the body section. The catheter may be prepared by arranging a prefabricated body portion around a mandrel which has previously been provided with a pressure sensitive adhesive.</p> |
