NEW MATERIAL:An immunoglobulin (having a molecular weight of about 70-80 KD and having antibody activity). USE:Immunoglobulin useful for the diagnosis and remedy of various diseases, especially autoimmune diseases, rheumatism, etc. PREPARATION:A cell capable of producing monoclonal antibody against various cell nucleus components is produced by the cell fusion of a spleen cell of MRL/I mouse or B/WFI mouse and a mouse myeloma cell. The obtained cell is cultured, and the objective immunoglobulin having an antibody activity and a molecular weight of 70 KD is separated from the supernatant liquid. As an alternative method, an immunoglobulin having an antinucleus antibody activity and a molecular weight of about 80 KD is separated from a polyclonal antibody in the serum of a patient of autoimmune disease such as SLE, PSS, MCTD, etc.
