PURPOSE:To supply a high-quality steam to an electricity generating system with high reliability, by properly distributing a flue evaporator and a superheater. CONSTITUTION:A part of a fuel 23, a circulating char 24 and air 25 are fed to a combustor 13, where a high-temp. atmosphere is formed to conduct the melt discharge of ash and the supply of heat required for gasification. The high-temp. gas is introduced into a diffuser 14 where the fuel 23 which has been put thereinto is carbonized and thermally decomposed. At the same time, the fuel 34 is mixed with the gas to make the flow uniform and introduced into a reductor 15 where the carbon particles are gasified and cooled. The formed char is introduced into the combustor 13 again while the gas is introduced into a flue evaporator 9 to recover the heat. The molten slag produced in the combustor 13 is flowed down into an ash hopper 17 to allow it to cool and discharged as a water-cooled slag 18. At the same time, cooling water is fed from a tube end located at the bottom of the gasifying furnace into a water-cooled wall tube 6 to cool the combustor 13, diffuser 14 and reductor 15 each comprising a thin heat- and flame-resistant material applied on the inside of the wall tube 6.
