PURPOSE:To manufacture a specials of high quality and high accuracy inexpensively without necessitating a complicated mold by a method wherein continuous fibers, impregnated with resin, are wound around a cylindrical mold and, thereafter, the mold is expanded forcibly from the inside thereof to form the specials. CONSTITUTION:The cylindrical core mold 1 is inserted into first elastic pipe 2 and FRP forming filaments, made of the continuous fibers of glass fibers, carbon fibers or the like impregnated with the resin are wound around the outer peripheral surface of the first elastic pipe 2 to form a filament layer 3. Next, the core mold 1 is pulled out of the first elastic pipe 2 and second elastic pipe 7, provided wit corner molds 6, 6' having profile configurations corresponding to the corners of the profile pipe on the outer surface thereof, is inserted into the first elastic pipe 2. The second elastic pipe 7 is filled with pressure medium to expand the second elastic pipe 7 forcibly and outwardly, an internal pressure is applied on the first elastic pipe 2 to expand forcibly the filament layer 3 against the inside of the forming chamber 11 of an outer mold 8 together with the first elastic pipe 2, thereafter, the resin in the filament layer 3 is heated to cure it. |
