<p>The present invention relates to a method for surface-refining webs of paper with a honeycombed inner network and the machine for implementing it. This method consists in continuously passing a previously gummed cover sheet 7 and the honeycombed network 1 between independent heating elements 21 with a slight pressure applying the cover sheet 7 onto the network 1, the temperature of the said heating elements being variable, and from one element to the next, and being modulated in order to adapt itself to the optimum reaction heat curve of the elements of the adhesive used.
