<p>PURPOSE:To neatly melt an overlapping part to be attached to its end edges, by inserting the mutually overlapping part in edges of two sheets of sheet materials between a set of roller type electrodes, having interposition mounting surfaces in width not less than the width of sad overlapping part, to be heated and welded by a high frequency. CONSTITUTION:The connecting method, overlapping edge parts of two sheets of sheet materials 20, 21 mutually in a piled joint state, inserts the overlapping part 22 of the materials between holding surface of a set of roller type electrodes 2, 17. And high frequency power is supplied to the electrodes 2, 17, but the electrode 2 applies a high frequency to an electrode piece 11 through a side plate 5 from a conductive shoe. Here the electrode piece 11 in a part, brought into contact with the sheet materials 20, 21, is slightly displaced to the side of a shaft 1 by pressing force of the electrode 17 to the electrode 2, and the method, resiliently pressing an edge part of the electrode piece 11 in said part to a conductive member 10 to be electrically conducted to the side plate 5 through the member 10, stably applies the high frequency. The method, forming the holding surface of the electrodes 2, 17 in width not less than the width of the overlapping part, welds the sheet to its end edge.</p> |
