PURPOSE:To wind a coated wire without scratching a coating layer by sticking a rubber or a plastic sheet having a large coefficient of friction to a take-up drum, pressing the coated wire by a snap roll to which a lining having the same quality of material is applied, and separating the wire from the drum before one turn is completed. CONSTITUTION:A plated wire 1 subjected to rust-resisting treatment runs from the left to be rolled round a steel drum 2 where a rubber or a plastic sheet 4 having a large coefficient of friction is stuck to the surface thereof and be pressed by a snap roll 3 to which a lining having the same quality of material is applied. Thus, a material which has a large coefficient of friction different from that of the steel surface is used for the surface of the take-up drum, even if the plated wire is not rolled round the take-up drum 1 more than one turn, the plated wire of the whole plating line can be pulled to be separated below the drum before one turn is completed, so that the wires will not make contact with each other, and the pressing force of the snap roll can be made smaller than that of the conventional roll. Accordingly, the rust-resisting coating can be prevented from being scratched by the mutual contact of the wires, resulting in a mutual slip. |
