PURPOSE:To secure such a rigid structure that omits a brace, by forming the sectional form of a connecting part a column of the half-submerged floating structure to a pontoon from a round shape into a square in succession, while forming this pontoon into a square ring form at a position in the same depth of water. CONSTITUTION:In case of a half-submerged type floating structure connecting a submerged pontoon 1 to a working deck 4 with a column 2, the sectional form of a connecting part of the column 2 to the pontoon 1 is formed so as to alter it from a round shape to a quadrangle whose four sides accord with a side shell plate of the pontoon. The pontoon 1 is formed as the same sectional form is connected into a square ring form with a longitudinal member 1A and a transverse member 1B at a position in the same depth of water. A sufficiently rigid structure is thus securable with simple constitution without using any reinforced set up of a brace or the like.
