<p>The derivs. are made by (a) reaction of piperazine hexahydrate with 7-(2,3-epoxypropyl) -theophylline in aq. medium under reflux; (b) treatment of the prod. with 1,3-dichloropropane in ethanol, in presence of an organic base, e.g., triethylamine, under reflux; and (c) reaction of the prod. with phenol or thiophenol in aq. medium, in presence of alkaline hydroxide, e.g., NaOH, at near b.pt. The prod. is sepd. and purified by conventional means.</p> |
