The material is made by: (a) mutliple perforation of a plastic sheet to provide a degree of absorption and application by heat and pressure over an absorbent sheet to obtain a micro-porous layer; (b) die-cutting into rectangular portions; (c) placing them in holders with distribute them over a surface to form a row or checkered shape; (d) applying over the arranged portions a carrier band coated with contact adhesive; (e) applying to the reverse of the portions stuck to the carrier band, a band which protects the active micro-porous face; and (f) die-cutting the individual portions ready for use.
