The moulds are made by (a) producing a metal counter-mould with means for filling with material forming the part to be moulded; (b) lining the counter-mould with ultra-light material such as expanded polypropylene which forms the principal mould; (c) inserting a series of additional supports in the form of plates or branchings during the mould filling, which brings about a homogenisation between the central axis and the mass of prod., and (d) impregnating the surface of the principal mould with lacquers, hardeners and mould release agents, which reinforce the mould properties.
