The cylindrical metal vessel is transported and discharged by spinning projectile, after which its rotation is braked by flaps on the outside. Each flap (24) comprises a blade in two or more layers (46,47) forming a shell bearing against the outside wall before discharge and fixed to the wall along two parallel length-wise strips (48,49) and to each other along a further strip (50). The outer layer (461) bears freely against the inner one (47) along one side of the latter strip, and bends outward along it a radial position after discharge.
