PURPOSE:To reduce the error of distance measurement and detect an object to be detected surely by forming a light condensing device by an optical system that makes only aberration in longitudinal direction of a line image sensor small. CONSTITUTION:A light receiving lens 3a that constitutes a light condensing device 3 is formed of an oblong rectangular convex lens to make an optical system that makes only aberration in longitudinal direction of a semiconductor position detecting element 4 (PSD) belonging to a PIN type photodiode, and fitted to the guide groove 42 of a housing 41 by slide coupling providing fitting projections 40 on the left and right of the light receiving lens 3a. Accordingly, the light condensing device 3 becomes an optical system small crosswise that makes only aberration in longitudinal direction of the PSD 4 small, and accordingly, an error of distance measurement is small. As longitudinal size is not made small, the amount of light receiving does not decrease, and an object to be detected can be detected surely.
