<p>PURPOSE:To securely prevent chips and dust from flying about in an upwardly drilling operation for a ceiling surface, etc. by installing the dust cup of a drill on a drill body and covering the whole drill bit and enabling its end to be opened and closed and axially extended and contracted. CONSTITUTION:The side part on the end of a dust cup body 1 is divided into four parts in the circumferential direction, and each of the divided pieces are connected to the others by means of bellows parts 11, enabling the end side part to be extended and contracted with respect to the extent of the dust cup body 1. When an operator carries out an upwardly drilling operation, this dust cup body 1 is applied to an object to be drilled. The force that the operator pushes a hammer drill, provides a downward force in the top surface 1', which becomes a force that depresses the dust cup body 1. Due to this depressing force, a slide board 2 slides on a slide ring 3, spreading the end of the dust cup body 1. The slide board 2 further depresses the slide ring 3, preparing a condition for the drill bit 12 to drill the object 8. By carrying out drilling in this manner, chips and dust can be contained in the dust cup body 1.</p> |
