PURPOSE:To accurately polish a surface to a mirror surface corresponding to the rugged shape of a workpiece by installing a viscoelastic polishing body to a conductive tool base and holding abrasive grains in the peripheral part of said viscoelastic body. CONSTITUTION:In an electrolytic and abrasive grain composite polishing device 10, a rotation driving unit 12 and a reduction gear 13 provided on its output side, are installed in a pistol-shaped device body 11, and a rotary shaft 14 which is rotated by them is introduced out of the device body 11 and an electrode tool 20 is mounted on its end. The electrode tool 20 consists of nearly a disc type tool base 21 made of conductive copper or other materials, and a viscoelastic polishing body 22 installed on its surface, as the main body. The tool base 21 is covered with a recessed part 34 which is formed in the viscoelastic polishing body 22 to be mounted on the tool base 21. Abrasive grains are dispersedly held on the surface, or wholly the inside, of the viscoelastic polishing body 22.
