FUEL INJECTION DEVICE FOR DIESEL ENGINE

PURPOSE:To reduce a rate of fuel consumption in an engine, by forming a combustion chamber between a piston and a cylinder cover, while setting up each central axis of both main and sub-fuel injection nozzles at the specified state. CONSTITUTION:A fuel chamber 5 is formed between an upper surface of a piston 3 and a cylinder cover 4. Plural main fuel injection nozzles and sub-fuel injection nozzles are formed in an atomizer 10. These main and sub-fuel injection nozzles are set up so as to have an interval of theta1=0 deg.-+ or -30 deg. in angle with each other the condition that each of center lines is projected on a plane surface to be orthogonalized with an axial center line of a fuel injection valve. In addition, they are set up so as to have an interval of theta2=-30-+30 deg. in angle under the condition that their center lines are projected on a plane surface in parallel with the axial center of the fuel injection valve. Thus, a rate of fuel consumption in an engine is sharply reducible.
