PURPOSE:To obtain a silver halide photographic sensitive material having high sensitivity, high contrast and small dependency on processing temp. by forming a silver halide emulsion layer contg. a surface photosensitive silver halide emulsion, an internal photosensitive silver halide emulsion and a specified compound. CONSTITUTION:a silver halide emulsion layer contg. a surface photosensitive silver halide emulsion (the 1st silver halide emulsion), an internal photosensitive silver halide or internally fogged silver halide emulsion (the 2nd silver halide emulsion) and at least one kind of compound represented by formulae I, II or III is formed. In the formulae, A is a phenolic silver halide developing agent; Y is optionally substituted alkyl or aryl; Q is a group of satd. or unsatd. atoms forming a 5--7-membered ring; X<-> is an inorg. or org. negative ion; R<1> optionally substituted 1-25C alkyl; and each of R<2> and R<3> is optionally substituted alkyl. |
