<p>PURPOSE:To provide excellent abrasion resistance by covering the cylinder bore with an inner layer composed of a sintered alloy containing tungsten carbide particles. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder is made in double construction composed of a shell by metal cylinder 1 and an inner layer 2 coated on the bore thereof being consolidated by fusion at their interfaces, wherein the inner layer is made of sintered alloy of CO-based alloy of Ni-based alloy containing tungsten carbide particles. That is, the inner layer 2 has such a structure that tungsten carbide particles are distributed uniformly, and is perfectly consolidated by fusion with the metal cylinder 1 at their interfaces. Thus the cylinder bore is coated with a sintered alloy layer of hard tungsten carbide particles and CO-based or Ni-based alloy excellent in heat resistant, anti-corrosiveness, strength, etc. to yield a resultant product having excellency in resistance to abrasion and corrosion.</p> |
