PURPOSE:To speed up the washing of both surfaces of a disk body like magnetic disk in a washing machine by providing a device for supporting the disk body directed vertically, a device for rotating it about the lateral axis, a washing device, etc. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic disk 5 having both surfaces processed is passed from an unprocessed disk support bed 6 to a carrier 12A by a first transfer device 14 and sent to a both surface processor 8 by a transfer device 11. Then, the disk 5 is sandwiched between both surfaces by said processor 8 to be rotated about the lateral axis with both surfaces abutting against tape-like processing bodies for a predetermined processing. The processed magnetic disk 5A is passed to a carrier 12B and transferred to a washing machine 13. Here, the magnetic disk 5A is rotated about its own axis to be washed by washing water supplied thereto and passed to a processed disk support bed 9 by a second transfer device 15. By this apparatus can be carried out rapidly securely the processing and washing of both surfaces of the disk body.
