PURPOSE:To produce an ignitor at low-unit cost of production, by connecting a secondary side earth terminal of an ignition coil to an earth potential point via a diode, while superposing it on the secondary side earth terminal, and connecting a discharging power source thereto. CONSTITUTION:There are provided with ignition coils 5%n8 in response to spark plugs 1-4. Each secondary side earth terminal of these ignition coils 5-8 is connected to an A point in common via diodes 14-17 upon being separated from ground connection. A DC high tension power source 20 consisting of a DC-DC converter is connected to the secondary side earth terminal of these ignition coils 5-8 connected in common. Thus, the high tension power source gets off with one unit alone so that a long discharge, high energy ignitor is produced at low-unit cost of production. |
