PURPOSE:To prevent an unnecessary display from being made owing to malfunction by outputting character data to be outputted to a display means after the startup of the power source of a copying machine becomes stable and the character data to be displayed is stored in a storage means. CONSTITUTION:When the power source +5V is not stable in starting up, the system reset signal of a microcomputer is at a low level and the source voltage is applied to a reset terminal side through a resistance R1 and a diode D1 and not supplied to a terminal OE. When the system reset signal varies from the low level to a high level a specific time later, character pattern data is outputted from the microcomputer to an anode-side integrated circuit 195. In an output control circuit 20, a capacitor C1 is charged through resistances R1 and R2 and the circuit goes up to the high level a specific time later to supply an output enable signal to a terminal OE of an output enable circuit, so that only data stored in a latch circuit are outputted from respective terminals Q0-Q7 and displayed on a fluorescent display tube 191. |
