PURPOSE:To obtain a color print high in resolution by irradiating one of plural lights different in the wavelength region from each other modulated in accordance with color signals on a traveling image-forming sheet coated with microcasules contg. a mixture of photosensitive compsns. different in the photosensitive wavelength region and color developing agents different in the color to be developed. CONSTITUTION:The image forming sheet 2 coated with the microcapsules prepared by sealing in the color developing agents different from each other in the color to be developed, and the photosensitive materials capable of sensing specified wavelength beams and inactivating the color developing agents is conveyed and dottedly irradiated with beams different in the wavelength by modulating the beams with an exposure means 6 in accordance with the color signals. The coated face of the image forming sheet 1 is overlaid on the coated face of a developing sheet 4 coated with a developer capable of reacting with the color developing agents and causing color developing reaction at the position downstream from the means 6, and the microcapsules of the sheet 1 are broken with a developing device 11, thus permitting fine delicate color prints to be made at high speed.
