PURPOSE:To adjust the diameter of a reamer with high accuracy by axially compressing a helical reamer body by means of an internally provided long screw and increasing its outside diameter in an abrasive grain reamer used in reaming a sintered hard alloy, etc. CONSTITUTION:In this abrasive grain reamer, a bore 2 is axially formed in a bar type reamer body 1 in which ultra-hard abrasive grains of, such as, diamond, cubic system boron nitride, etc. are fixed to the outer periphery of the body made of a metal material by means of plating, while a helical groove 3 is provided in the radial direction through the remaining thick-walled part. A long screw 6 having a head part 7 for engaging the outer end of the reamer body 1 with a seat part 4, is inserted into the bore 2 and screwed into a tapped hole 5 provided in the innermost end of the bore 2. Thereby, when the long screw 6 is screwed in via a head part 7, an axially pressing force is applied to the reamer body 1 via the head part 7 engaged with the seat part 4 on the outer end, pressing the reamer body 1 in the axial direction. As a result, the outside diameter of the reamer body 1 is increased. |
