PURPOSE:To markedly improve the accuracy of sizing operation by making the point of time of operating a mechanism for sizing operation such as a cutter, etc. accurately agree with the point of time of feeding a required length of sheet and the like, when carrying out said sizing operation on a long size sheet and the like. CONSTITUTION:A major roll 2 and a feed roll 3 are provided in order along the pass line 7 of a long size sheet 6 and the like, in the preceding part of a rotary cutter 4, while a conveyor 5 is provided below the cutter 4, in a sizing unit 1. In the major roll 2, the delivered dimension of the long-size sheet 6 is measured by means of a pulse. And, an encoder is provided on the cutter 4 which includes a servo unit, and the pulse signal of the roll 2 is inputted in this encoder. The signal inputted into the encoder exerts its output upon the servo mechanism of the cutter 4 to control the number of revolution of the cutter 4. On the other hand, the output from the encoder checks the number of revolution of the roll 3 to detect a dimension based on it, and a cutter is operated when the detected value agreed with the measured value by the roll 2. |
