PURPOSE:To perform an efficient operation in polishing both surfaces of a magnetic disk by rotating a disk body supported at the rotary device side about the horizontal axis while making a tape-like processing body against both surfaces of the disk body. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic disk 5 has a through hole 15 through which a chuck claw section 40 having the diameter contracted on the horizontal axis and is rotatably driven by being sandwiched with both sandwiching portions 22a, 32a. Tape-like processing bodies 57A, 57B moving longitudinally bear against both surfaces 5a, 5b of the rotating magnetic disk 5 to form fine streaks processing the disk over the whole surfaces. Thereafter, said both bodies 57A, 57B are separated from both surfaces 5a, 5b while tape-like cleaning bodies 92A, 92B bear against both surfaces to clean both surfaces 5a, 5b. Thus, said disk can be automatically efficiently processed with a simple construction. |
