PURPOSE:To improve the recording efficiency of a recording medium and line bit density effectively by correcting the time base variation of a signal that is transferred by a frequency modulation transmission band and of a signal that is transferred by a low-pass variation transmission band. CONSTITUTION:At a counter circuit 7, the write clock pulse and the switching control pulse of a charge coupled element 5 are generated from a PLL circuit 6 by setting the output of it as a clock pulse and are outputted to the charge coupled element 5. A demodulation signal that is demodulated at a demodulation circuit 3 is outputted from the charge coupled element 5 changing to a signal without a time base variation because the demodulation signal is stored according to the time base variation and is read out according to a reference clock pulse. On the other hand, the signal of a low-pass variation transmission band that transits a low-pass filter is outputted as the high frequency component of a video signal that includes the component of original chrominance signal and at a charge coupled element 16, by the same time base collector operation, the time base variation of the high frequency component of the video signal is eliminated. By an addition at an adder 20, the time base variation is not included and the luminance signal does not become as an interference signal and a useful video signal is obtained.
