PURPOSE:To suppress noise due to vibration of gears by deforming the tooth surface of plastic gear part when vibration has occurred, and thereby absorbing the vibration energy. CONSTITUTION:When a pair of gears are meshed and rotated, tooth surface of the plastic gear part 2 given a larger thickness comes in contact with the other gear earlier than the tooth surface of the metal gear part 1 does. After it has deformed elastically, the tooth surface of the metal gear part 1 comes in contact to perform transmission of greater torque. In case the transmitted torque is less, meshed contact of the plastic gear part 2 eliminates shocks between metals. Thus the vibration energy is absorbed by the effect of internal damping to accomplish reduction of the generated noise.
