PURPOSE:To reduce the size of a reciprocal table down to 1/N with a voice synthesizer, etc. by retrieving the reciprocal table after dividing (interpolation frequency +1) into (interpolation frequency +1)/(N)XN. CONSTITUTION:It is supposed that the value of (interpolation frequency +1) is expressed in an integer (N) multiple. Thus a table 20 obtains the reciprocal from a means 10 holding the value of (interpolation frequency +1)/N. A circuit 40 receives the output of a means 30 holding the value of 1/N, the output of a means 50 which obtains the difference between the present value and the target value of a parameter and the output given from the table 20 respectively. Then the circuit 40 performs the multiplication among said outputs to obtain the difference of the parameter interpolation value.
