PURPOSE:To use only one reproducing amplifier, and also to make a signal cut-off means unnecessary by constituting the titled tape recorder by providing the first and the second switching means which are switched in response to a command from a control means for generating a command of a different logic depending on which of the first or the second mechanism is in a reproducing operation state. CONSTITUTION:When only the second mechanism part 5 is used as a sound recording operation state, and a source signal source from a tuner, etc. is connected to an input terminal 13, and it is brought to sound recording, a source signal which has been inputted to the input terminal 13 is adjusted to a level being suitable for sound recording by an input level adjusting means 14, and thereafter, inputted to a sound recording amplifier 16 through a common terminal 15c from a terminal 15a of a dubbing operation changeover switch 15. The amplified output signal is superposed on a bias current from a bias oscillator 17, applied to a sound recording and reproducing combined head 7 operated as a sound recording head, through a common terminal 6c from a sound recording and reproducing changeover switch, and brought to sound recording. |
