PURPOSE:To rapidly detect an abnormal current like a shortcircuiting defect by stopping an overcurrent detecting operation for the prescribed period immediately after a transistor is turned from OFF to ON, thereby preventing the useless operation of detecting an overcurrent. CONSTITUTION:An overcurrent detector 44 has a current detecting section 44a, a level detecting section 44b, one shot multivibrators 44c1-44c6, a NOR circuit 44d, and an AND circuit 44e. The drive signals of transistors 2a-2a'', 2b-2b'' are input to the multivibrators 44c1-44c6. The outputs of an NOR circuit 44d becomes 0 level during a period that currents caused by the reverse recovery of the diodes 2c-2c'', 2d-2d'' are flowed, and the output of the AND circuit 44e becomes 0 level irrespective of the output of the detecting section 44b to eliminate the detection of the overcurrent during this period. |
