MANUFACTURE OF NI PLATED STEEL SHEET HAVING SUPERIOR WORKABILITY

PURPOSE:To improve the adhesion of an Ni layer formed by plating and to prevent the stripping of the layer during working by carrying out Ni striking under prescribed conditions before Ni plating. CONSTITUTION:An Ni plating bath of 1-3pH having 10-60g/l concn. of Ni<2+> is prepd. A cold rolled ordinary steel sheet is subjected to Ni striking in the plating bath at 1-20A/dm<2> current density to form an Ni layer by 0.2-6g/m<2> per one side of the steel sheet. Ni plating is then carried out.
