PURPOSE:To eliminate the necessity of alignment of tractor or setting of paper in the tractor when replacing the paper by controlling the rotary speed of rollers split to the right and left through detection of oblique advance of sensor thus preventing the oblique advance. CONSTITUTION:The left edge positions of papers detected through photoreceptors 18 in sensors 20 arranged in front and rear of feed rollers 17 are compared to control the rotary speed of split right/left feed rollers 17 on the basis of the detected amount of oblique advance of paper by means of a circuit 19. When the continuous paper 15 to be fed through the feed rollers 17 is normal, motors M1, M2 will run steadily while upon shifting of paper 15 to the right by 0.1mm, the rotation of motor M1 is increased and upon further shifting in same direction by more than 0.2mm, the rotation of motor M1 is increased while simultaneously the rotation of the motor M2 is dropped thus to correct the oblique advance of paper 15 in short time.
