PURPOSE:To obtain a shape memory Ti-Ni alloy having satisfactory workability and a high transformation temp. even by treatment at a medium temp. by substituting Ru for part of Ni in a Ti-Ni alloy having a specified composition. CONSTITUTION:A shape memory alloy having a composition represented by the formula is obtd. by substituting Ru for 0.25-2atom% of Ni in a Ti-Ni ally consisting of 49-50atom% Ni and the balance Ti. The martensitic transformation start temp. of the shape memory alloy exceeds 60 deg.C even by memory treatment at a medium temp. such as about 500 deg.C. |
