PURPOSE:To select easily and instantaneously a proper visual point with which a 3-dimensional image is shown in a 2-dimensional drawing, by using an auxiliary drawing expressed in a display pattern corresponding to the numerical value to show each area of an input drawing. CONSTITUTION:A drawing information input part 101 stores the forms, positions and additional numerical values of areas forming an input drawing into a drawing information memory part 102. Then the part 101 calculates the position of a proper point within the input drawing as a notice point for conversion of a 3-dimensional image into a 2-dimensional drawing and stores it in the part 102. An auxiliary drawing display part 103 converts the information given from the part 102 into a planar display pattern through a conversion part 104 to display it to a display device 106. While an azimuth scale display part 107 and a dip scale display part 108 display at a time both the azimuth scale and the dip scale to the device 106. Thus it is possible to select easily a proper visual point for display of a 3-dimensional image in the form of a 2-dimensional image.
