PURPOSE:To provide the titled composition having excellent appearance and god hair-treatment performance, and composed of two separated phases comprising a (semi)transparent phase containing a specific component and an opaque phase containing a specific component different from the above component. CONSTITUTION:A multi-phase gelatinous hair-treatment composition composed of (A) the quaternary ammonium salt of formula I (R1 and R2 are 8-22C alkyl or 8-22C hydroxyalkyl; R3 and R4 are 1-3C alkyl or 1-3C hydroxyalkyl; X is halogen), (B) (B1) sorbitan 10-26C fatty acid ester added with 1-30mol of EO, (B2) glycerol 10-26C fatty acid ester added with 2-30mol of EO and (B3) the compound of formula II [R5 is 10-26C (hydroxy)alkyl; n is 2-10], etc., and (C) (C1) the compound of formula III (R10 is 5-25C alkyl; R11 is 3-30C alkyl) and (C2) a glyceride derived from glycerol and a 12-24C fatty acid, etc., and forming mutually separated two phases comprising a gelatinous phase composed of the components A and B and a gelatinous phase composed of the components A, B and C.
