PURPOSE:To obtain a fuel cell wherein a plurality of unit cells are aggregated within a separator by providing a gas separation wall to the separator and forming a unit cell within the section separated by such gas separation wall. CONSTITUTION:A separator 1 is divided into two sections by a gas separation wall 2 and thereby the unit cell is divided into two sections. The gas separation wall 2 is provided with electrolyte supply holes 8 at the intersections of gas separation walls of both sides and thereby the electrolyte is supplied and it is supplied to the electrolyte plate through an electrolyte distribution groove 9 from the electrolyte supply holes 8. A fuel cell for power is advantageous when it has a wider area, but it is very difficult to produce a large size electrode and an electrolyte plate and provides various problems. Reduction in size can be realized without changing characteristics of large size unit cell and supply of electrolyte can be realized easily by providing gas separation wall to the separator. Thereby, a cell characteristic which is stabilized for a long period of time can be obtained. |
