PURPOSE:To recognize a profiling state all the time by performing automatic profiling control over the edge of a body to be measured while monitoring an enlarged image of the body which is projected on a monitor television by picking up an image of the body including through a television camera. CONSTITUTION:An image of the body 1 is picked up by the television camera 2 and the television camera 2 is put in follow-up motion by a profiling mechanism so that an optical axis 4 profiles the edge 5. Images 1A and 5A of the objective body 1 and the edge 5 which are picked up by the television camera 2 are projected. The intersection point of a cross mark 7 is set as the image center 8 in the center of the image screen of the monitor television 6. The television camera 2 is so moved that the point profiles the image edge 5A, and the track of the movement coincides with the body 1 to be measured, so that a measurement of it is taken. |
