PURPOSE:To provide satisfactory accelerating performance in an equipment wherein each of cylinder has a pair of intake passages and an intake control valve is disposed in one of the intake passages by closing the intake control valve for a specified period when operation of a vehicle changes from the low- speed and low-load operation state to the low-speed and high-load operation state. CONSTITUTION:In Internal-Combustion Engine wherein each of cylinders has two intake passages 6 and 7 opened and closed by two intake valves 4 and 5, and an exhaust passage 10 also opened and closed by two exhaust valves 8 and 9, an intake control valve 15 is disposed in the second intake passage 7. A thin partition wall 24 which separates both the intake passages 6 and 7 from each other has a communication hole 25 formed in the lower site of the intake control valve 15. A fuel injection valve (not illustrated in the drawing) is disposed in the communication hole 25. Once it is sensed that operation of the engine changes from the low-speed and low-load state to the low-speed and low-load state, the intake control valve 15 is so controlled that the valve is first kept closed for a preset time and then opened. |
