PREPARATION:4-Hydroxyphthalic anhydride is reacted with an organic diamine shown by the formula NH2RNH2 in a molar ratio of 2:1 in a phenolic solvent (e.g., cresol) or glacial acetic acid as a solvent at 100-140 deg.C to give a compound shown by the formula I.
