Process and fast laminating device for the production of solid plastics identity cards with picture, a liquid adhesive being applied to a prefabricated partial card part containing the picture, the adhesive curing within seconds under the effect of electromagnetic radiation in a predetermined wavelength range, namely ultraviolet radiation (UV radiation). The adhesive can serve for the firm bonding, to the card composite, of a subsequently applied cover film or, with corresponding adjustment of its viscosity, itself form the topmost sealing film after curing. In the latter case the adhesive is applied in the form of a liquid curtain continuous over the card. |
