The invention relates to an air rifle with essentially a barrel, lock, stock and air cell and with an integrated air pump (1) connected to the air cell designed as a pressure cylinder (3). The rifle is intended for shooting automatic injection syringes used as a projectile for introducing drugs into an animal body. The rifle barrel (8) is arranged and held above the air pump (1) and pressure cell (3) and parallel to these, and the air pump, pressure cylinder (3) and lock (4) are connected to one another axially in alignment and are fastened to the stock (5). According to a preferred embodiment, the projectile energy is limited to a maximum of 7.5 joules, one or more means for limiting the air pressure in the pressure cylinder to a value p being provided. With the rifle according to the invention, shots can be fired over a distance of 50 m with a high accuracy of hit without a limitation of the projectile energy and still over a distance of 10 to 20 m with a limitation of the projectile energy. <IMAGE> |
