A tubular pump for conveying capsules from a section of lower pressure into a section of higher pressure in a pipe by means of a transporting liquid, the superatmospheric pressure being maintained even in the event of a stoppage of operation - that is to say, when there is no longer any action of conveying pressure - without the need for mechanically actuated closing accoutrements.
