The present device for separating the components of a multi-part profile strip of elastic materials extruded from an extruder head has a knife arrangement (1) the cutter profile (26) of which corresponds to the profile of the joint lines (28) of the individual components of the profile and which knife arrangement (1) can be advanced with its cutters (26) as far as the aperture of the feed channels (3a, 3b) within the extruder head (5) and can be locked in this position. The profile strip (20) is thereby pressed during the extrusion, with its joint faces (28) running between the individual components (A, B), precisely onto the cutters (26) of the knife (2) and thus cut into its components (A, B) without waste. By unlocking, the knife arrangement (1) is automatically forced out of the region of the extruder head (5) by the pressure of the extruded profile strip (20). <IMAGE>
