<p>An incontinence device comprises a garment (1) which includes a sewn-in absorbent pad (2). A sheet of liquid-impervious material (3) is interposed between the garment (1) and that surface of the absorbent pad (2) which is away from the wearer. The absorbent pad (2) is retained to the sheet of liquid-impervious material (3) by stitching (6 and 7) and the sheet (3) is retained to the garment (1) by turning and rotating the two portions (10 and 11) of the sheet (3) and stitching at (4) and (5). In another embodiment, not illustrated, there is introduced a layer of permeable hydrophobic material.</p> |
