RADIO PAGING RECEIVER HAVING DISPLAY CONTROL MEANS

A radio calling signal received by an antenna(1) is amplified and demodulated by a receiver section(2). The demodulated section is converted to a rectangular wave signal by a waveform shaping circuit(3) to be supplied to a decoder section(4). While the output from the waveform shaper circuit is being fed to the decoder section, a preamble signal is first detected, and them a battery saving function is suspended with the battery kept turned on. As a word synchronization code is detected, the opeeration preceeds the detection of the selective calling signal assigned to the receiver.
